Office Spotlight: CPCMG La Costa
Carlsbad families looking for the best pediatricians in their neighborhood don’t have to look very far.
Children’s Primary Care Medical Group (CPCMG) La Costa is dedicated exclusively to the unique medical needs of children and provides patient-focused, family-centered pediatric healthcare. The newly redesigned office welcomes young patients between the ages of infancy and 18 years at their office on Camino De Los Coches near Stagecoach Park.
The pediatric healthcare providers include Dr. Elizabeth Burgamy, Dr. Michael Jacobson, Dr. Natalie Muth and certified pediatric nurse practitioner Nicole Kastner. This experienced and compassionate team listens to both children and parents in order to provide quality, easily accessible pediatric health care.
“We each have a love of children which extends into our other important role – that of parents,” says Dr. Burgamy. “We are familiar with – and can sympathize with – the challenges of parenthood. Our entire team works hard to provide the best care and advice possible to our families.”
In addition to offering comprehensive well and sick healthcare services for children and adolescents, CPCMG La Costa provides newborn care, immunizations, sports physicals, nutrition advice, asthma checks and breastfeeding advice, among other services. The office includes nine exam rooms and two separate entrances, one each for sick and well patients. New patients are always welcome.
CPCMG La Costa is actively involved in the local community, participating in events such as the Carlsbad Street Fair and Carlsbad Eggstravaganza. The team provides health care education classes to local schools and day cares, sharing parenting tips and health information. In addition to attending prenatal lectures, expectant parents can visit CPCMG La Costa for a “meet and greet” appointment. The office is also host to the “Walk with a Doc” program, hosting a weekly free walk every Thursday at 4 p.m. at Stagecoach Park.
“We are committed to being a part of the Carlsbad community and ensuring that the area’s youth have every opportunity to succeed,” says Dr. Burgamy. “We are available to speak to schools, PTAs and other groups in the Carlsbad area about anything from nutrition to parenting and life with a toddler to dealing with teenagers.”
CPCMG La Costa is part of a 21-office pediatric health care network throughout San Diego and southern Riverside counties. All CPCMG families have access to Children’s Primary Extended Care (San Diego County) and Rancho Children’s Extended Care (southern Riverside County) for health needs that arise after regular office hours. In addition, CPCMG patients are referred to specialty care at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego as needed.
