Nurse Care Connect

Telephone medical advice M-F, 8am-5pm

CPCMG’s experienced pediatric registered nurses offer quality, caring telephone health advice with information, teaching, and compassionate support.

You can call Nurse Care Connect from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday to speak with a nurse and have your health care concerns and questions answered. Simply call your CPCMG office and listen for the option “Health Care Advice” – you will then be transferred directly to a nurse.

Please remember these simple rules so that you will receive advice in a timely manner:

  • If you think you have a life- or limb threatening emergency, call 911.
  • If your child has a fever, please have a current temperature available if possible.
  • It is always best to have your child present with you so that our nurses can best help you and your child.

Be prepared:

  • Give your child’s name, birth date, phone number where you can be reached, and your child’s doctor’s name.
  • If you have a question about medication, keep the medication container close by so you can tell the nurse exactly what it is.
  • Be ready to discuss your child’s symptoms. You will be asked several questions about your child’s illness.
  • Have pencil and paper available to write down instructions.

Helpful tips about Nurse Care Connect:

  • The nurses from the Nurse Care Connect team are all registered nurses.
  • The nurses have a standard list of questions that will help guide their advice. Your answers will help to decide the best way to aid your child.
  • The main purpose of Nurse Care Connect is to offer health care advice and direct you to the appropriate level of care.  The nurses cannot give you a diagnosis or prescribe medications. They can prescribe a limited number of medications in select cases per protocols.
