Our providers can answer all your questions and guide you through your baby’s first few months of life…and beyond.

Before your baby is born

STEP 1: Contact your insurance company to confirm that “Children’s Primary Care Medical Group” is in network.

STEP 2: Schedule a free meet and greet with a CPCMG pediatrician by calling our Welcome Center (either mom or dad can call) at 858-502-1177. Look through our provider directory and find the pediatrician that’s best for your family. Not sure how to pick a pediatrician?

After your baby is born

Call the Welcome Center at 858-502-1177 to register your baby. Our team members will ask for your child’s name, where they were born, your contact information, insurance plan details, and more.

During this call, we will schedule your family’s first appointment with CPCMG. This appointment will happen within three to five days of birth.

Please note that future appointments will be booked by the team at your CPCMG office of choice.

appointments will be booked by the team at your CPCMG office.

How to schedule a well-child appointment/physical exam

  • Call your CPCMG pediatrician’s office between 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.

  • You can also use your MyChart account to schedule appointments. If you don’t have a MyChart account, learn more here.
  • Please schedule these appointments four to six weeks in advance so that we can better accommodate your choice of day
    and time.

How to schedule a sick-child appointment

  • Call your CPCMG pediatrician’s office to schedule an appointment (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to noon). Not sure about the office phone number? Visit our Locations page.
  • You can also use your MyChart account to schedule appointment. If you don’t have a MyChart account, learn more here.
  • You can obtain health advice between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday by calling Nurse Care Connect. Simply call your CPCMG office and listen for the option “Health Care Advice” – you will then be transferred directly to a nurse.

Lactation

CPCMG is pleased to offer our families personalized breastfeeding support. Our doctors and nurses with International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) training work hands-on with families to build confidence and enhance breastfeeding success. No question is off limits!

We offer both individual lactation visits as well as virtual support groups through San Diego and southern Riverside counties.
Please ask your CPCMG clinical for a referral.
