“I went into pediatrics because of the great relationship I had with my pediatrician. He always made me feel better and I wanted to make other kids feel better too. I enjoy the long-term relationships of pediatrics, getting to know patients and families and watching them grow over the years.

I advise parents to savor the moment. Each developmental stage is unique with its own ups and downs, try to enjoy each one and accept your child for who they are at that moment.

My key to a healthy lifestyle is regular exercise. I go for walks along the canyons or on the beach as often as I can as it’s a great way to clear the head and burn some calories. I also try to eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink lots of water.

I am married and have two boys ages 17 and 20. We enjoy family vacations in the mountains, skiing in the winter and biking in the summer.”
