Personal Statement:

“In medical school, my pediatric rotations were my absolute favorite. Not only did I get to work with great colleagues, but I also got to experience the opportunity to interact with growing families and help raise the next generation.

The most important life advice that I have is not to overschedule your family. Rushing from one activity to the next can put strain on parents which in turn puts strain on kids. Limit your family to a select number of activities that you all enjoy together and be mindful of being overscheduled. The most important job of a parent is to instill security and a sense of high self-worth in their child, and this is done through connection and love – If you’re achieving that, you’re doing great!

Being born and raised in southern California means I have family all over the region. My husband, 7-year-old son and I always have birthdays and social events that keep our calendar full. As a family we love spending time outdoors looking for seashells at the beach or hanging out at home and enjoying the weather.”
