Personal Statement:

“As a youth, I was a swimmer and taught swimming lessons to kids – I knew that I wanted to work with children. Additionally, my father was an orthopedic surgeon and I used to follow him around the field during Friday night football games. As a pediatrician, I have married my love of working with children and my special interest in sports/orthopedic medicine.

Coming to the doctor can be a stressful situation for children and their families. I have always found it easy to connect with children by thinking at their level and by joking and being silly. Putting the kids at ease helps me become a strong advocate for them and their families.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and volunteering for local community and philanthropic organizations, most notably my daughter’s charter school and Make-A-Wish Foundation. I have a longstanding love for traveling, saltwater sportfishing, sushi and all sports teams connected to my Los Angeles-based upbringing.”
