Personal Statement:

“Growing up with a large extended family, I loved looking after my younger cousins. In high school, I volunteered at Seattle Children’s hospital before even knowing I would eventually pursue medicine. As an EMT and then as a medical student, I enjoyed working with pediatric patients because they could always surprise and delight me.

It is my job to support families by providing the best medical expertise and guidance possible. I also love teaching and much of pediatrics is helping children learn about their own healthcare so that they can grow into healthy adults.

In my free time, my wife and I love spending time with our siblings and parents. We also enjoy being outdoors and soaking up the sun, either hiking, biking, or “beaching.” I also love games (board, card, video, whichever!) which help me be less serious and to relax.”
