Personal Statement

“My father, a pediatrician of 40 years, inspired my love of education, children and books. After attending UCLA School of Medicine, I completed my residency at UCSD and Rady Children’s Hospital. I maintain close relationships with the Rady specialists and mentor new doctors as an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSD. My passion is literacy and I’m active in Reach Out and Read, which provides free books at our site and throughout the county. I also chair the annual American Academy of Pediatrics School Health Conference. My husband, son, daughter and dachshund keep me busy enjoying the outdoors and life’s adventures. I strive to connect with every patient and parent to provide comprehensive care and look forward to meeting you.”
